FROM 1994 All Rover vehicles had immobiliser systems to combat car theft.
The first type was a black LUCAS REMOTE which was used on all Rovers until 2002.
Next, in 2003, came the black and grey, egg shaped PEKTRON remote.
The Rover 75 / MG ZT cars used a transponder key / combined remote fob.
Rover / Lucas Remote you may or may not know, if this is lost or gets damaged then you will not be able to start the car. This is because not only does it activate the central locking, it also turns the immobiliser on and off.

At Aston’s access we have the software, experience and expertise to programme these special keys, containing type-33 rolling code chips, by using a technique known as eeprom work. The vehicle specific key data is extracted from the vehicles ECU or immobiliser and then written to the chip which will start the car.
