We are able to cut and program replacement LDV keys for all their vehicles.

FROM 1998 all LDV vehicles use transponder keys as pictured above (including remote fobs also). The transponder contained within keys from 1998-2000 is known as Texas fixed code type 4C (or T3).

Transponder keys were employed because only when the vehicle receives a certain unique code from the transponder inside the key will it be allowed to start.

IF YOU HAVE A KEY ALREADY (1998-2000) and simply require as spare: Copying or ‘cloning’ is very straight forward and takes a matter of minutes with our market leading equipment.

IF YOU HAVE LOST ALL KEYS (1998-2000) then firstly a lock will have to be decoded in order to make a mechanical key which turns the locks. Secondly, the key is introduced to the car’s ecu (computer) memory via plugging into the obd (communication) port with a specialised tester. Only then will the car be allowed to start.

FROM 2000 LDV enhanced security by using chips with rolling codes (Texas crypto 4D type 60). This was to make unauthorised duplication even more difficult.
